4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when making an enquiry or engaging our services
- Inform us promptly of any changes to information relevant to your matter
- Use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others
- Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of this website or its underlying systems

5. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, design, layout, and materials — is the property of Damai Keluarga or its licensors and is protected under applicable Malaysian intellectual property law. You may view and print content from this website for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content without our written consent.
6. Payment Terms
Our service fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). All fees must be agreed and confirmed in writing before a service engagement begins. Payment is due as set out in the written fee agreement. We accept payment by bank transfer and other methods confirmed at the time of engagement. Fees paid for a completed service are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Cancellation and Changes
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please give us at least 48 hours' notice where possible. Late cancellations may be subject to a partial fee depending on the work already undertaken. This will always be discussed with you first.
7. Service-Specific Terms
First Consultation
A first consultation is a single session and carries no obligation to proceed further. A written summary may be provided at our discretion. This session does not constitute ongoing legal representation.
Mediation
Mediation sessions require the willing participation of both relevant parties. We cannot compel any party's participation. The number of sessions required varies by matter and is not fixed in advance. The fee stated covers our facilitation and document work; it does not include any external filing or registration costs if applicable.
Representation
Representation engagements are governed by a written retainer agreement that sets out scope, fees, and responsibilities. Any costs beyond those stated in the retainer (such as court filing fees) will be communicated and agreed before being incurred.
8. Confidentiality
All information shared with us in the course of an enquiry or engagement is treated with strict confidentiality. Legal professional privilege applies to all solicitor-client communications. This obligation survives the conclusion of any engagement.
9. Disclaimers
The information on this website is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute legal advice. We make no representations about the accuracy or completeness of this information. Legal outcomes depend on the specific facts of each matter, and past outcomes do not indicate what may occur in your situation. Nothing on this website creates a solicitor-client relationship.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, our liability to you in connection with the use of this website is limited. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from your use of this website. Our liability in connection with services provided is governed by the terms of your engagement agreement and applicable professional standards. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Damai Keluarga harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of this website, or any false or misleading information you have provided to us.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate a service engagement by giving reasonable written notice. If you terminate an engagement mid-way, you remain liable for fees in respect of work already completed. We reserve the right to withdraw our services if you breach these Terms or act in a manner that makes the engagement professionally untenable, with appropriate notice.
13. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to raise the matter with us directly first, as most concerns can be resolved through direct dialogue. If a matter cannot be resolved informally, it may be referred to mediation or the Malaysian Bar's dispute resolution processes before any court action is considered. The courts of Kuala Lumpur have jurisdiction over any disputes that require formal resolution.
14. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement — These Terms, together with any written engagement agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding its subject matter.
- Severability — If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- Waiver — Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
- Assignment — You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
- Notices — Notices from us to you may be sent by email to the address you have provided.
15. Changes to These Terms
